Mark Ashton

Mark has a background in development, investment and fund management, with an in depth knowledge of the leisure and retail sector.

He is currently working on long term regeneration projects with stakeholders including M&G, Eon and Urban Catalyst as well as some of the largest local authorities in the UK. To realise many of these projects Astranta have formed joint venture arrangements.

The scope of the projects being delivered include General Hospitals, District Centres, CHP and Heat Networks, Leisure and major housing schemes. Discussions on funding options are ongoing with HM Treasury, Sport England and local government amongst others.

Before joining Astranta, Mark was Head of Retail Portfolio Management at Land Securities. Whilst there Mark served as Director on JV Boards with Delancey, Henderson, Hammerson and British Land and was directly involved in some of the largest property developments and transactions in the UK.

Mark is also a Director of SnOasis – perhaps the UK's most innovative new leisure proposal.

In his occasional spare time he disappears into the deepest Hampshire countryside or the Highlands.
